Ingredients

  1. For Chana dal seekh kebab:
  2. 1 cupchana dal
  3. 1 cupsteamed raw banana
  4. 1/2 cupgrated carrot
  5. 1/4 cupchopped cabbage
  6. 1/4 cuponion
  7. 2chopped green chilli
  8. as per tasteSalt
  9. 1/4 tspturmeric powder
  10. 1/2 tspchilli powder
  11. 1/2 tspchaat masala
  12. 1/4 cupcumin powder
  13. 1/4 tspcoriander powder
  14. 1 tspginger garlic chilli paste
  15. 4 tspoil
  16. For making the oats chhilla:
  17. 3/4 cupoats
  18. 1/4 cupsemolina
  19. 1/4 cupfresh beet juice
  20. 1/4 cupcurd
  21. 1/2 tspginger chilli paste
  22. as per tasteSalt
  23. For making 1 wrap:
  24. 1-2 tspchopped onion
  25. 1 tspchopped coriander leaves
  26. 1 tsptomato ketchup
  27. 1 tspgreen chutney
  28. 1 tspoil

Cooking Instructions

    Roast the Chana dal in 1 tsp oil till colour change and then grind to make a powder.

    In a pan put 1 tsp oil and then add the chopped onion in it and when they become transluscent then add the ginger garlic chilli paste in it.

    When the raw smell has gone then add the chopped cabbage and saute it for sometimeand then add the steamed mashed banana in it.

    Add the grated carrot, green chilli along with salt and other spices and cook it for 5 minutes.

    Switch off the flame and allow it to cool completely and then mix the chana dal powder in it and make a dough.

    Make small round kebab patties from it and then put oil in a pan and shallow fry them. Now your seekh kebabs are ready.

    Make a powder of oats and semolina and then add all the ingredients in it and cover them 5 minutes and make a smooth batter.

    Grease a tawa with oil and pour a ladleful of batter in it and spread it like a dosa and cook both sides of it in medium flame.

    Then in the oats wrapper spread the green chutney and over it put the kebabs and also put the chopped onions and coriander leaves and tomato ketchup and wrap it.

    Now your chana dal seekh kebab in beet oats wrap is ready for kid's lunch box.
