Ingredients

  1. 2 cupFlour (Maida)
  2. 1Egg
  3. 1 tea spoonmashed Betel Leaf
  4. 2 cupLiquid Milk
  5. 1/2 cupRice flour
  6. 1 teaspoonSugar
  7. 2 tablespoonOil
  8. 1 teaspoonGreen food colour
  9. As neededFoil paper
  10. For stuffing:
  11. 4 cupThick milk
  12. 1/2 cupDried Milk/Khoya
  13. 1/2 cupCashew nut paste
  14. 2 cupsugar
  15. 1/2 cupPilau Rice paste
  16. 1 pinchSaffron
  17. As neededPistachio, almond, cherry, Truti druto for garnish

Cooking Instructions

    Take a bowl, add maida, rice flour, sugar, 2 cup milk, egg, mashed betel leaf & mix it well to make a medium consistency batter. Then add green food colour in the mixture & mix it well.

    Heat a pan in the gas, grease oil in the pan, take 1 table spoon of green batter, spread it in the pan & fry both sides properly. Make all the Pethas with the batter in this process.

    After the Pethas are fried, fold the pethas in the shape of cone & wrap them using foil paper in the conical part so that the Pethas do no lose the cone shape.

    For the stuffing, take a pan in the gas, add the thick milk in it, after first boil, add the Pilau rice paste & stir for around 10 minutes. Then add grated khoya, cashew nut paste, sugar, saffron (soaked in milk) & mix them well. When the mixture gets thick, take this mixture off from the gas.

    Cool the stuffing & then stuff them in tha Paan shaped Pethas, top them with nuts & cherries & your delicious Paan Khili Pethas are ready to serve!
