Ingredients

  1. 1 cupBroken Wheat
  2. 1/2 cup Beetroot (grated)
  3. 1Onion
  4. 1 Tomato
  5. 2 tbspCorns
  6. 2 tbspPeas
  7. 1/2 tbspRed Chilli Powder
  8. 1 tbsp Coriander Powder
  9. 1 tbspOil
  10. 1 tspCumin Seeds
  11. 1 tspMustard Seeds
  12. 5-6Curry Leaves
  13. As per tasteSalt
  14. 2 cupswater
  15. 1 tspLemon Juice

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and mustard seeds and curry leaves. As it crackles, add chopped onion. Cook it till golden brown.

    Now add chopped tomato. Mix well. Add grated beetroot. Mix well and cook 3 mins.

  3. 3

    Now add all spices. Mix well. Add 2 cups water and broken wheat too.

  4. 4

    Add 1 tsp ghee. Mix well. Cover it and cook it 7-8 min. Beetroot daliya is ready.
