Granola

There are many granola recipes.
And i came across the Guardian recipe
1:6
1 for liquid and 6for dried ingredients(grains+ seeds +dried fruits). I have tweaked the recipe...
So I do not follow it to the T.
It still works well.
If you want to have clumps/clusters,
add in 2-3tbs of milk powder &/or 1 eg white.
These Protein r greater binders.

I came across this recipe that not only makes a smaller batch, it's also done in 10 minutes without turning on the oven. It's fully customizable, so use whatever ingredients you'd like. The combination pictured above is walnuts, pecans, almonds, pumpkin seeds, dried cranberries and golden raisins. Recipe adapted from Clean & Delicious @ YouTube. Christina -

Here's an option to make granola at home. It turns out delicious and not too sweet, so if you have a sweet tooth, I recommend adding an extra sweetener like stevia, Splenda, or a touch of honey. For my usual breakfasts, I rotate between smoothies, oatmeal and granola. I don't like to buy pre-packaged granola though and this is my latest variation. It's sweet (but not too sweet) and slightly tart. Any dried fruit can be substituted for the dried cranberries, I'm just a big fan of the cranberries. Christina
