Ingredients

  1. Forcover-
  2. 3 cupsAll purpose flour
  3. 1 tspSalt
  4. 1 tspAjwain
  5. 1/2 cupOil
  6. 3/4 cup +4 tbspWater
  7. For Stuffing:-
  8. 1 1/2 cupBoiled chickpeas
  9. 3Boiled banana large
  10. 2 tbspGinger chilli paste
  11. to tasteSalt
  12. 2 tspMango power
  13. 2 tspRed chilli powder
  14. 3 tbspRoasted spices power
  15. 3 tbspFinally chopped coriander leaves
  16. 3 tbspGhee
  17. as requiredOil for frying
  18. 1 tsp each(cumin seeds, sounf, coriander seeds, dry red chilli roasted (Blend it and you can get this roasted spices power)

Cooking Instructions

30 to 40 mins

    Bring a bowl, add flour, Salt, ajwain, oil and with your finger tips, rub the oil in to the flour until it resembles fine breadcrumbs. Add water and make a soft dough and cover with lid. Keep it aside.

    Bring a bowl, add chickpeas, banana, Salt, mango powder, red chilli powder, roasted spices power, and coriander leaves, mix well. Mash it and keep it aside.

    In a non stick pan add ghee, add ginger chilli paste and cook for few seconds. Add chickpeas mixture and mix well. Keep stirring it for 2 minutes on medium heat. Now off the flame.

    Now bring the dough and divide the dough into equal portions, flat this with your fingers and add lemon size chickpeas mixture in it and Cover it and flatten it with your fingers.

    Heat sufficient oil, when oil becames moderate hot and deep fry the kachoris in a batch of 4 on low to medium heat for about 15 mins. When it turns golden in colour, strain on absorbent paper. Healthy and tasty chickpeas kachoris are ready to serve. Serve hot with green chutney and tamarind chutney.
