Ingredients

  1. 1 cupWhite urad daal
  2. 1/2 cupRice
  3. 2 tbspChana dal
  4. 1/2 tbspDry methi
  5. 1 tbspSalt
  6. 1 tbspRed chilli
  7. 1 pinchHing
  8. 1Onion
  9. 1Tomato
  10. as requiredGreen coriander leaves
  11. 2 cupsWater approx

Cooking Instructions

    Soak dal and rice together for 6 hrs.

  2. 2

    Grind dal and rice into a smooth batter and keep aside for fermentation overnight.

  3. 3

    After fermentation add salt, chilli and hing into batter.

  4. 4

    Add water and make the batter of thin consistency.

  5. 5

    Cut the veggies and mix salt, red chilli into these.

  6. 6

    On a tawa spread little oil and pour half cup batter and top up veggies on it. Cook from both sides.

    Serve with chutney and sambhar or any dal.
