Ingredients

  1. 3 tbspmustard oil
  2. 2 pieceskohlrabi (cut into cubes)
  3. 1 tspfennel powder
  4. 1 tspRed chilli powder
  5. 1/2 tspSaunth powder
  6. 1 tspCoriander powder
  7. 1/2 tspgaram masala Powder
  8. to tasteSalt
  9. 2tomatoes chopped or puréed
  10. 2green chilies
  11. 2onions
  12. 5-6garlic cloves
  13. 1 inchginger

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    We cook it in mustard oil
    Burn the oil first and then let it cool.
    By then chop onions ginger and lots of garlic.

    Cut gaanth gobhi in cubes. Break the leaves with hands and dip them in water for sometime so that all the dirt settles down.

    Take a pressure cooker
    Put oil
    Add zeera
    Add chopped garlic
    Onions and ginger
    Let them be brown

    Then add masalas
    Turmeric powder
    Red chilli powder Dhaniya powder and salt
    Add chopped or puréed tomatoes.

    When they become soft add cubes of gaanth gobhi and leaves to it
    Sauté it for sometime
    Then add water as required
    Pressure cook for 4-5 whistle on low flame.

  6. 6

    Add little garam masala while serving. Serve hot with steamed rice
