Steps

Firstly chop tomatoes and chillies, add them in a blender to make fine paste.

Then in a large kadai heat 2tsp oil and splutter tempering.

Saute mustard, geera, urad dal, chana dal, few curry leaves and add garlic pieces.

Add tomatoes paste and saute until tomatoes turn soft and mushy.

Additionally add turmeric, chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala and salt.

Saute and cook for a minute until it turns to fine paste.

Furthermore, add 2 cups cooked rice and mix gently.

Cover and simmer for 5 minutes to absorb all masala.

Finally, serve tomato rice with raita of your choice.
