Ingredients

  1. 2 cupsjackfruit deseeded
  2. 1 cupjaggery
  3. 2 tsp cardamom powder
  4. as neededCrushed nuts
  5. 4 tbsp ghee

    Remove the seeds from the jackfruit and pressure cook with 1/4 cup water. Then grind it to a smooth puree. Prepare the jaggery syrup and strain it.

    In a thick bottom vessel, add 2 tsps ghee, then the jackfruit puree and stir it in the ghee. Then add the jaggery syrup and mix well till the puree and the syrup gets combined.

    Then add the crushed nuts too. Keep on stirring on medium till the consistency becomes thick and starts leaving the sides of the vessel. Now remove from the flame and transfer it into a greased bowl. Allow to cool. Jackfruit halwa is ready!!!
