Ingredients

20-25 minutes
2-3 servings
  1. 1 cupdal masoor
  2. 1 cupwater
  3. 1/2 cupmilk
  4. 2 tablespoonstamarind pulp / lemon juice (optional)
  5. 1 teaspoonsalt
  6. 1/2 teaspoonturmeric powder
  7. 2-3green chillies
  8. 1/2 teaspoonGaram masala powder
  9. For tempering:-
  10. 1onion
  11. 1/2 teaspooncumin seeds (zeera)
  12. as per needMustard seeds (optional)
  13. 4-6curry leaves
  14. 4-6garlic cloves
  15. 2-3Kashmiri dry red chillies
  16. 3 tablespoonsghee

Cooking Instructions

20-25 minutes
  1. 1

    Firstly wash & soaked dal masoor for about 30 minutes then add water & cook until it’s almost boiled & softened then add milk, spices everything & cook until raw smell disappears.further in another pan add ghee & diced onions sauté until golden & add garlic cloves and other spices in 1 minute it’s done pop it on the dal stir & serve.
