First, let's measure all the ingredients at room temperature and keep ready. Grease, dust and line a rectangular cake tin with butter paper.

Sieve all the dry ingredients except jaggery powder in a bowl.

To this, slowly fold in the dry ingredients alternately with milk in cut and fold method. Lastly mix in the Orange food colour.

Transfer to the cake tin and tap 4 to 5 times. Place in oven to bake for 30 to 35 minutes.

When cake is done, insert a toothpick to check. If it's coming out clean, take out and cool to room temperature by covering with a light towel.

When cooled, cut in long pieces and serve to your dear brother for a very sweet and healthy Raksha Bandhan. Enjoy the wonderful day with Saffron cake bars!
