Ragda Pattice

Soak white peas for over night or minimum 8 hours. Peel the 1 potato, piece it and boil it with peas. Peas should be tender completely. Heat up the pan. Once oil is hot, add asafoetida.

Add freshly grounded green chillies and ginger. Saute for some time. Add turmeric. Add boiled and slightly mashed peas and potato. Add salt and coriander leaves. Boil it on low flame while making pattice.

Boil the potatoes and mash it roughly. Do not make smooth paste kind of. Add bread crumbs, red chilli powder, turmeric and salt. Mix it well. Give shape of pattice. Shallow fry in the pan with some oil. You can deep fry too if you prefer.

Serve the pattice, pour prepared Ragda on top of it. Add different chutneys according to your taste. Sprinkle with some chopped onion, Sev and coriander leaves. Serve hot.
