Ingredients

6 servings
  1. 2 Tbspbutter or margarine
  2. 1/3chopped onion
  3. 1 lblean ground beef & 1/4 lb lean ground pork
  4. 1/2 cupsoft bread crumbs
  5. 1egg, beaten
  6. 2 Tbspsugar
  7. 1 1/4 tspsalt
  8. 1/2 tspground nutmeg
  9. 1/4 tspground allspice
  10. sauce
  11. 2 Tbspbutter or margarine
  12. 3 Tbspflour & 1 tsp sugar
  13. 1/2 tspsalt & 1/4 tsp black pepper
  14. 2 cupsliquid (light cream or milk & water)

Cooking Instructions

    Heat 2 Tbsp butter in skillet. Add onion, cook till transparent.

    Toss together lightly ground meats, onion, bread crumbs, egg, sugar, salt, nutmeg & allspice. Lightly shape into 1 inch balls.

    Place meatballs on cookie sheet & brown in oven at 375. Place in crockpot or casserole dish.

    Melt 2 Tbsp butter in skillet. Add flour, sugar, salt & pepper. Gradually add liquid, stirring constantly. Bring to a boil.

    Pour sauce over meatballs in crockpot or casserole dish. Cook on low 4 hrs in crockpot or 20-30 mins at 375 in oven.
