Left Over Rice Cutlets

Ingredients

Approx 30 Mins
2 - 3 Servings
  1. 1& 1/2 Cup Left Over Cooked Rice
  2. 2-3 TablespoonsOf Gram Flour AKA Chickpea Flour
  3. 2Green Chillies (Finely Chopped)
  4. 2 TablespoonsOf Coriander Leaves/Cilantro (Finely Chopped)
  5. 1Small Onion (Finely Chopped)
  6. 1 TeaspoonDry Roasted Cumin Seeds
  7. 1/2 TeaspoonRed Chilli Powder
  8. 1/4 TeaspoonGaram Masala Powder AKA All Spice Powder
  9. Salt To Taste
  10. Freshly Ground Black Pepper To Taste
  11. 1/2 TeaspoonGrated OR Chopped Ginger (Optional)
  12. Oil OR Butter To Shallow Fry

Cooking Instructions

Approx 30 Mins
  1. 1

    Mash the rice if it is too grainy. Do not over mash. Just enough to hold itself with all the ingredients when you form the cutlets.

    Mix all the ingredients well with the rice except the oil/butter.

  3. 3

    Now form into cutlet shapes. You can wet your palm with a few drops of water if the mixture is too sticky.

    Heat some oil/butter & shallow fry the cutlets on low to medium heat/flame till they are golden brown on both sides & cooked through.

    Can be served hot with ketchup or mayo-ketchup dip.
