Dal Palak

Dal Palak - a nutritious and wholesome dish.
A non onion 🧅 garlic 🧄 preparation which is absolutely a comfort meal during winters.
Dal Palak is a light and comfort dish prepared almost daily during winter in every Bengali home , it is mostly prepared either with Moong Dal or Arhar Dal, but I have prepared with Masoor Dal which requires no spices.

Boil Masoor Dal in sufficient water and keep aside. Roughly chop spinach.

In moderately heated pan / kadhai, add oil, allow to heat then add red chilli + onion seeds, allow to sizzle then add spinach and sauté for 1 minute.
Spinach shrinks within few seconds. - 3
Then pour the boiled Dal along with water, add green chilli + salt + turmeric, stir well and cook for 4-5 minutes.
Dal is ready to serve. - 4
Serve with hot steamed rice and enjoy winters with full nutrition.
