Early man meat!!

Childhood dream to eat beef like a early man can be came true!
Burdock is easy to get in Japan and perfect to make bones. But I guess it is difficult to find it outside of Japan.
I hear parsnip is close to burdock. If you know any other replacement, please let me know! Something long!

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Make bone by burdock. If you can't find burdock, I hear parsnip is similar to burdock. Cut the burdock into 10cm and make V shape cutting for both ends.
- 2
Shave the outside of V shape end into slightly thinner as shown in picture.
- 3
Bone is finished! Boil them until they become soft with salted water.
- 4
Make the basic meat. Mix ground beef, breadcrumb, nutmeg, salt, pepper by hand very well.
- 5
Put "4" around build burdock like early man meat shape.
- 6
Wrap "5" with thinly sliced beef.
- 7
Simmer "6" in frying pan in middle fire. First, put the joint of sliced beef onto the pan to seal them. When surface change color, pour some water and cover with lid. Steam allow to cook inside of meat, too.
- 8
Pot all the sauce ingredients into frying pan and keep simmering. Pour sauce over the meat with spoon.

Manga-Like Meat on a Stick Manga-Like Meat on a Stick
I came up with this through experimenting with the shape, flavor, cooking method, and cooking time.To create the diluted vinegar to remove the astringency from the burdock, add about a teaspoon of vinegar to 200ml water. When removing the water from the frying pan or unwrapping the aluminum foil, it's pretty hot so be careful not to burn yourself! You can also cut this up to serve it! Cutting it into round slices is fun. For 1 stick. Recipe by Otometeo cookpad.japan -
Pemmican/ Jerky Pemmican/ Jerky
Native Americans didn't have refrigeration unless it was winter time. This was overcome by preserving meat in this fashion. This is one method to making pemmican. Another method is the same, except grinding the meat into dust add dried fruits and/or wild onion and then pouring tallow over the top. Then using an axe to chop off what you wanted to eat. It was eaten straight up or boiled in its own tallow. This is the simpler method. When they used berries it really became the perfect superfood. The berries were are high in vitamins c and other nutrients. This would prevent scurvy. If kept dry and sealed in tallow, it could last 50 years they estimate. The berries to use is called Buffalo berries. #mycookbook skunkmonkey101 -
