Childhood dream to eat beef like a early man can be came true!

Burdock is easy to get in Japan and perfect to make bones. But I guess it is difficult to find it outside of Japan.
I hear parsnip is close to burdock. If you know any other replacement, please let me know! Something long!

Childhood dream to eat beef like a early man can be came true!

Burdock is easy to get in Japan and perfect to make bones. But I guess it is difficult to find it outside of Japan.

Ingredients

  1. Ground beef
  2. Thinly sliced beef
  3. Burdock(could be replaceable with parsnip, i hope)
  4. Breadcrumb, Nutmeg, Salt, Pepper
  5. Sauce: Soysauce, Mirin(replaceable with honey), Suger, Sake,Water

Cooking Instructions

    Make bone by burdock. If you can't find burdock, I hear parsnip is similar to burdock. Cut the burdock into 10cm and make V shape cutting for both ends.

    Shave the outside of V shape end into slightly thinner as shown in picture.

    Bone is finished! Boil them until they become soft with salted water.

    Make the basic meat. Mix ground beef, breadcrumb,nutmeg, salt, pepper by hand very well.

    Put "4" around build burdock like early man meat shape.

  6. 6

    Wrap "5" with thinly sliced beef.

  7. 7

    Simmer "6" in frying pan in middle fire. First,put the joint of sliced beef onto the pan to seal them. When surface change color, pour some water and cover with lid. Steam allow to cook inside of meat, too.

    Pot all the sauce ingredients into frying pan and keep simmering. Pour sauce over the meat with spoon.
