Yield: Serves 2 servings
Ingredients: 3.5 oz (100 g) pork belly slices (cut into bite-sized pieces); 1/8 head cabbage (shredded into 1/2-inch strips); 2 green bell peppers (thinly sliced); 1/3 carrot (thinly sliced); 1/2 onion (thinly sliced); 2 packs yakisoba noodles; 2 tablespoons soy sauce (30 ml); 2 tablespoons sake (30 ml); 2 tablespoons mirin (30 ml); 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (15 ml); 1 teaspoon chicken bouillon powder (such as S&B or Knorr, 5 ml); 2 tablespoons sugar (24 g); 1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean chili paste, 15 ml); 2 teaspoons or to taste doubanjiang (Chinese chili bean paste, 10 ml); 1 teaspoon grated garlic (5 ml); 1 teaspoon grated ginger (5 ml); 1 1/2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil (for stir-frying, 22 ml); 3 dried red chili peppers (sliced into rings); To taste white sesame seeds (for topping); To taste chopped green onions (for topping)

Serves 2 servings

3.5 oz (100 g)pork belly slices (cut into bite-sized pieces)
1/8 headcabbage (shredded into 1/2-inch strips)
2green bell peppers (thinly sliced)
1/3carrot (thinly sliced)
1/2onion (thinly sliced)
2 packsyakisoba noodles
Sauce mix ↓↓↓
2 tablespoonssoy sauce (30 ml)
2 tablespoonssake (30 ml)
2 tablespoonsmirin (30 ml)
1 tablespoonoyster sauce (15 ml)
1 teaspoonchicken bouillon powder (such as S&B or Knorr, 5 ml)
2 tablespoonssugar (24 g)
1 tablespoongochujang (Korean chili paste, 15 ml)
2 teaspoonsor to taste doubanjiang (Chinese chili bean paste, 10 ml)
1 teaspoongrated garlic (5 ml)
1 teaspoongrated ginger (5 ml)
1 1/2 tablespoonstoasted sesame oil (for stir-frying, 22 ml)
3dried red chili peppers (sliced into rings)
To taste white sesame seeds (for topping)
To taste chopped green onions (for topping)

Steps

In a small bowl, combine all the sauce mix ingredients (marked ●) and stir well to make the sauce.

Heat a frying pan over medium heat, add the sesame oil, and lightly sauté the sliced dried red chili peppers.

Add the pork and cook until the color changes.

Add all the vegetables except the cabbage and stir-fry until they soften.

Add the cabbage and stir until coated with oil, then pour in half of the sauce and mix well.

Add the noodles, gently loosen with chopsticks, then add the remaining sauce. Stir-fry over high heat until everything is well coated and heated through.

Serve on a plate and top with white sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
