Tomato Garlic Pickle

My family as well as office colleges love my way of homemade tomato garlic pickle. This pickle goes well with Poori, Paratha, Pakoda, Murmura. Now I am in Kolkata to visit my parents and youngest sister's family. I prepared Tomato garlic pickle on their wishes and it came very nice and delicious. This pickle can be used as chutney.
Tomato Garlic Pickle
My family as well as office colleges love my way of homemade tomato garlic pickle. This pickle goes well with Poori, Paratha, Pakoda, Murmura. Now I am in Kolkata to visit my parents and youngest sister's family. I prepared Tomato garlic pickle on their wishes and it came very nice and delicious. This pickle can be used as chutney.

Wash and dry the tomatoes. Chop them.

In a cooking pan heat 2 Tsp mustard oil. Add chopped tomatoes and tamarind. Cook on medium to low flame till tomatoes are soft.Cool down naturally and grind to paste the cooked tomatoes and tamarind.

Heat 1/2 cup of mustard oil in the frying pan. Add black mustard seeds, Fenugreek seeds and cumin seeds and allow to crackle on low flame.

Fry curry leaves and chopped garlic on low flame till aromatic. Mix well the tomato paste and red chilli powder, salt and turmeric powder. Cook on low heat till everything mixed well and the oil gets separate from the cooked tomatoes.
