Pakistani style buffet pasta salad

Pakistani Style Buffet Pasta Salad is a popular dish that combines Western and South Asian flavours. The salad often includes cooked pasta, usually elbow macaroni, boiled potatoes, carrots, and peas, which are common ingredients in Pakistani cuisine.

For the homemade version, use whatever vegetables you have and prefer.

The dressing is either creamy made with mayonnaise, cream, and lemon juice, giving it a tangy and creamy texture. Or it is sweet and spicy made with ketchup. Soy sauce, chilli garlic sauce, vinegar, aromatic spices and brown sugar or honey. To add a Pakistani twist, the salad is seasoned with black pepper and may include green chilies for a spicy kick.

This salad is versatile and can be served as a side dish or a light meal. It's particularly popular during special occasions like Eid and Ramadan, where it's often featured as part of the festive menu. It is also popular at weddings and high end restaurants as starter. The combination of textures and flavours makes it a refreshing and satisfying dish, especially during the summer. For video recipe:https://youtu.be/pGdefcUNZ4o
