Ingredients

20 minutes
4 persons
  1. 2 cupscooked rice
  2. 2 tbspgrated raw mango. Salt according to taste
  3. 2 tdsp cooking oil
  4. For tempering,
  5. 2 tbsp oil,
  6. 1/2 tsp mustard seeds,
  7. 1/2 tsp cumin seeds,
  8. 1 pinch asafoetida,
  9. 1 dry red chili,
  10. 1 tsp urad dal,
  11. 1 spring curry leaves,
  12. split Cashewnuts,
  13. peanuts and roasted chick peas
  14. 1/2 tsp Mustard powder,
  15. grated fresh coconut,
  16. chopped coriander

Steps

20 minutes
  1. 1

    Use small grain rice and make chutta rice. Cool it.

  2. 2

    Make tempering with all ingredients as given above starting with Mustard seeds.

  3. 3

    Add tempering to cooked rice. Add raw mango, salt, grated coconut and coriander leaves.

  4. 4

    Mix well serve with papad.
