Bihari kadhi badi is considered a classic comfort food in the region, often made for special occasions or as a satisfying everyday meal. The combination of the soft, soaked dal badi and the smooth, tangy yoghurt based kadhi creates a delightful textural experience.
Unlike the common kadhi pakora recipes , where the pakora are made from besan, Bihari kadhi badi often incorporates grounded masoor dal into the batter for the badi.

Soak Masoor dal for 2 hours. After that Grind it in mixer.

Add chilli powder, zeera powder and salt in grounded dal..

Make pakore and fry in hot oil till golden in colour.

Take curd in a heavy bottom pan. Add besan and chilli powder.

Add turmeric powder, onion and garlic paste and water.

Whisk batter from wired whisker till there is no lump.

Cook on low flame for 12-13 minutes.

After this add salt and fried pakore. Put tadka of dry red chilli and cumin seeds(zeera) on kadhi.

Authentic Bihar special kadhi badi is ready.
Serve hot with rice.
