Makhani chicken qeema (Butter ground chicken)

Makhani chicken qeema (Butter ground chicken) is a unique recipe of ground chicken. It is not your regular ground chicken or butter chicken. But a combination of both.
It’s weird that I prefer this than the more traditional ground chicken. Unlike the usual ground chicken that requires caramelizing onions and making tomato gravy, this recipe is simple to make.
Just throw in your ground chicken, water with roughly chopped onions and tomatoes and some spices and boil.
Fry with some oil and additional spices and yogurt and finally, the star ingredient—butter. Voila! You are done.
Serve the qeema with your flatbread of choice, some achar or pickled onions and raita. For a fun picnic lunch you can also roll it into a paratha and add your condiments of choice!

In a pot add ground chicken, water, onions, tomatoes, garlic paste, ginger salt, chilli flakes, turmeric and mix well. Cover and boil for 10 minutes.

Uncover and add 2 tablespoon oil. Mix and fry til liquid evaporates.

Add green chillies and yogurt and cook till yogurt dries.

Add pepper powder, garam masala and remaining oil. Mix and cook for 5 minutes..

Add cilantro and butter and cook till butter melts.

Serve hot with paratha.
