Kerala style Palak thoran

Collect fresh palak,clean well with water, drain out the water,chop it. Cut the onion. Grate the coconut. Keep aside.

Keep the fry pan on medium heat, add oil, mustard seeds, urad dal, green chillies,and red chilli. Saute for a few minutes. Then add the chopped palak. Mix well.

Add the salt, give a nice mix. Keep the pan open. Palak loses water. Keep the flame slow for a few minutes till the water dries completely.Then add grated coconut, mix and transfer to a serving bowl.
