Ingredients

1 serving
  • 1 pieceCabbage (halved or quartered)
  • 1 tbspOlive oil
  • 1 tbspMiso paste
  • 1 tspHoney or maple syrup
  • 1 tspSoy sauce
  • 1 tbspParmesan cheese (grated)
  • a fewleaves Fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • 1 pinchBlack pepper

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat.

  2. 2

    Sear the cabbage cut-side down until deeply browned.

  3. 3

    Mix miso, honey, and soy sauce. Brush over cabbage.

  4. 4

    Roast or cover and cook until tender.

  5. 5

    Plate, sprinkle with Parmesan and parsley, and finish with black pepper.

Tips

For extra flavor, consider adding a squeeze of lime or lemon juice before serving.
