Mango Daliya/ Mango porridge Mango Daliya/ Mango porridge
Mango Dalia is a sweet porridge made with broken wheat, milk and mangoes. My mother used to make this sweet porridge for breakfast and I used to save some and had it after dinner as a dessert. It is a great way to use mangoes which are very healthy and nutritious. I don't use any sweetner for this Dalia as mango puree provides the sweetness and creamy texture as well. But sometimes the mangoes are not sweet enough and you have to add a little sugar or any other sweetner to enhance the taste. This porridge is a great way to start your day. Broken wheat provides all the benefits of a grain, mangoes provide the nutrients of a fruit and milk is a great source of calcium and protein. Together they make a complete healthy breakfast meal. It is good for growing kids also. This one pot meal can be prepared in advance and can be kept in the refrigerator for 6-7 hours. It tastes best when served chilled. #CookClick Sumeet Kaur (Recipes and more by Sumi) -

I love old style cooking and natural products. Proper old school Red Velvet cake is coloured using beetroot and that's what I use in mine rather that dye. Slow Cooker Chinese Porridge Slow Cooker Chinese Porridge
In China, porridge is super popular as a breakfast item, especially at local breakfast shops. People usually pair it with baozi or steamed buns. Now, making porridge in a slow cooker isn’t the traditional way, but it makes things way easier, and it still tastes great! The light and comforting nature of porridge makes it a go-to for so many. Additionally, they are a good source of potassium, dietary fiber, niacin, vitamin B1, vitamin B2 and phosphorus. Turmeric Arroz Caldo - Chicken Congee | Filipino rice porridge Turmeric Arroz Caldo - Chicken Congee | Filipino rice porridge
Turmeric, the miracle spice, is so "in" these days because of its health benefits. Since turmeric is already commonly added to steamed rice, why not add it to a congee (or lugaw in Filipino, or Arroz Caldo, or porridge)! The twist in this Chicken Arroz Caldo or lugaw recipe, aside from the Turmeric addition, is that I've pushed the "healthy" factor by using brown and red rice instead of white or sticky rice. Sounds good, hey? :)This dish is perfect for cold nights and rainy days. 😊 SpottedByD -
