  1. 2 cupAll- purpose flour
  2. 1 tspSalt
  3. 1 tspBaking powder
  4. 2 tspBaking soda
  5. 3/4 cupUnsweetened cocoa
  6. 2 cupSugar
  7. 1 cupVegetable oil
  8. 1 cupHot coffee
  9. 1 cupMilk
  10. 2Eggs
  11. 1 tspVanilla extract
  12. 1FAVORITE ICING
  13. 1 cupMilk
  14. 5teablespoon All-purpose flour
  15. 1/2 cupButter, softened
  16. 1/2 cupShortening
  17. 1 cupIcing sugar
  18. 1 tspVanilla extract

Cooking Instructions

    Preheat oven to 325°F Fahrenheit.

    Sift together dry ingredients. Add oil, coffee and milk. Mix with an electric mixer at medium speed for 2 minutes. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix for another 2 minutes.

    Pour into 2 greased and floured 9" cake pans. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Cool cake 15 minutes before removing from pan.

    meanwhile, Whisk milk and flour in a saucepan over heat. Cook until thick. Cover and refrigerate. Cream butter, shortening, sugar and vanilla. Add chilled milk mixture and beat for 10 minutes.

    Assemble and frost cake.
