Steps
- 1
Place about 6 small ice cubes in a metal shaker.
- 2
Pour in the vodka and vermouth and shake for at least 30 seconds.
- 3
The longer you shake, the more water will mix into the drink, as the ice cubes melt.
- 4
Shaking for less than 30 seconds will produce a drink that is too powerful, with the alcohol overpowering the taste of the pepper.
- 5
Strain into a 4 ounce cocktail glass and drop in 1 or 2 jalapeño stuffed olives.
- 6
Any olive brine still dripping from the olive(s) will add to the taste complexity of the drink.
- 7
*If you don't have pepper vodka, such as Absolut Peppar, you can substitute regular vodka and add a couple of dashes of Tabasco sauce.*
