Ingredients

  1. 2/3 cupsbutter
  2. 2 cupssugar
  3. 3eggs separated
  4. 1 cupsmolasses
  5. 1/3 teaspoonssalt
  6. 1 cupsbuttermilk
  7. 1/2 teaspoonscinnamon
  8. 1/2 teaspoonsnutmeg
  9. 1/2 teaspoonsbaking soda
  10. 3 cupssifted flour
  11. 2 teaspoonsbaking powder

Steps

  1. 1

    Cream butter

  2. 2

    Beat in sugar

  3. 3

    Add egg yolks and molasses

  4. 4

    Sift dry ingredients

  5. 5

    Add alternately with milk

  6. 6

    Add beaten egg whites

  7. 7

    Pour into muffin tins

  8. 8

    Bake @ 425 for 20 minutes
