mix the four ingredients in bowl of stand mixer, let stand 2 min, mix well, let stand 10 minutes

mix the rest in stand mixer with dough hook on low speed except last addition of flour

scrape down sides from time to time

for last bit of flour, add 1/2 cup at a time until dough is soft and a little tacky, scrape sides occasionally

knead dough a little into a ball, let rise in greased mixer bowl until double in size about 45-60 minutes

roll out dough out on floured surface until it is a 1/2 inch thick

cut out your donut shape with a cutter

let the shaped dough rise to double size again on a parchment lined baking sheet about 45-60 minutes

heat oil to 350'F fry donuts about 1 minute per side, until light golden colour

cool donuts on cooling rack
