Ingredients

  1. 1 lbBeef or venison - you can use stew meat I usually use steaks and cut it up.
  2. 1 cupFlour
  3. 1 1/2 stickButter
  4. 2 cloveGarlic - mince it well, I've also used the already minced garlic.
  5. 1 largeOnion
  6. 1 boxMushrooms
  7. 1 canBeer - you can use anything, it literally depends on the flavor you are looking for. I always try a seasonal beer.
  8. 1 cupWater
  9. 1Salt and pepper

  1. 1

    Coat meat in flour.

  2. 2

    Melt butter in skillet, brown meat. Add in garlic and onions as meat begins to brown.

  3. 3

    After meat browns and onions begin to caramelize, add beer, water, and mushrooms. Bring to a boil.

  4. 4

    After it is brought to a boil cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes.

  5. 5

    Goes great with potatoes or rice.
