Ingredients

  1. 2-3riped bananas (but they should be little hard then the normal riped banana as we need to fill in the stuffing
  2. 1/2 cupdry coconut powder
  3. leavessome coriander
  4. to tastesalt
  5. 1 tspsugar
  6. 1 tspred chilli powder
  7. 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  8. 1/2 tspcumin coriander powder
  9. 1/2lemon to squeeze or some lemon juice
  10. 2-3 tspoil
  11. 1/t tsp of mustard seeds
  12. pinchasafoetida

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

In a mixing bowl take dry coconut powder, coriander leaves, salt, sugar, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin coriander powder, lemon juice and mix well. add little oil (around 1/2 tsp) and keep aside till the masala is absorbed nicely (approx 10 minutes).

  2. 2

Cut the Banana from middle. Do not remove the skin and slide the banana from middle just one cut and start feeling the masala in it. Fill all the bananas as shown in the picture.

  4. 4

Heat a pan or a kadhai add oil and mustard seeds, asafoetida. Add little turmeric powder. Once they splutter add bananas one by one.

  5. 5

Important point to note : Do not toss the banana again and again. Just toss them once upside down or just till the oil and masala and bananas mix and let it get cooked on a medium high flame for 5-7 minutes as bananas usually dont need anytime to get cooked. If you keep tossing it upside down it may break.

  6. 6

Cover the lid for 5 minutes. Your stuffed banana masala is here.

  7. 7

Serve it in a serving bowl and decorate with coriander leaves and some coconut powder.
Have it with rotis or parathas

  8. 8

    Have a delicious bite ! Yum :)
