A lovely aromat sweet rice recipe for festivals and special occasions

Soak the rice pre cooking for about 30 minutes

Melt 1/2 tablespoon of ghee and sauté the nuts and raisins for 2 minutes and keep aside

In a wok combine water, food colour, cardamom and cloves
- 4
Add the rice and mix
- 5
Bring to a boil and then cook covered by reducing the heat until the rice is semi cooked
- 6
Add lemon juice, coconut and sugar. Mix well
- 7
Next add salt and mava
- 8
Once again cook covered till the rice is cooked and sugar well dissolved
- 9
Add the remaining ghee and sautéed raisins,nuts. Mix well before taking off heat

Enjoy while warm!
