Rinse the bhindi well. Wipe them dry with kitchen napkin.

Cut head and tail part of bhindi. Cut the bhindi vertically into two pieces and cut each half into two slices. Cut each slice of bhindi horizontally into two pieces.

Heat the oil in a pan on low flame. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, asafoetida, turmeric powder. Stir it well.

Now add bhindi and sauté. Cover the lid and cook for 5 minutes till they are tender.

Remove the lid and stir it. Add lemon juice and mix well.

Let it cook for 2 to 3 minutes and stir in between.

Add red chilli powder, cumin seed powder and coriander seed powder. salt and sugar. Stir it well.

Now add roasted peanut powder and grated coconut. Stir continuously on medium low flame for 2 minutes.

Switch off the gas. Bhindi fry is ready to serve.
