Ingredients

  1. 1/2 CupSabudana (Sago Pearls)soaked
  2. 1/4 cuplotus seeds powder
  3. 1/4 cuplotus seeds roasted(optional)
  4. 4 CupsMilk
  5. 4 TbspSugar
  6. 1/4 tspCardamom powder
  7. as neededalmonds and cashewnuts chopped
  8. as neededsliced almonds,cashewnuts,saffron and pistachios to garnish

    Wash Sabudana in water and drain. Soak Sabudana in water for 2 hours.It will absorb almost all the water and the size will increase.

    .Heat the milk in a heavy bottomed pan over medium flame.

    When milk comes to boil add lotus seeds powder, roasted lotus seeds and cook on low flame stirring constantaly for 5 minutes

    Add chopped almonds and cashewnuts.

  5. 5

    Add soaked Sabudana.Cook them until they turn transparent and soft for around 5-8 minutes, make sure to stir continuously.

  6. 6

    Add sugar to it & let Stir continuously and cook until milk turns thick. It will take approx. 5 minutes.

  7. 7

    Turn off the flame and transfer prepared Sabudana-makhana Kheer to a serving bowls.

  8. 8

    Garnish it with sliced almonds,cashewnuts,saffron and pistachios and serve warm or chilled.
