
Japanese Hummus
This started with a desire to make a wasabi ginger hummus but real wasabi is hard to come by in my area and I don't like the pre-made mixes as they employ the use of food coloring. Hence the use of horseradish for the zing and spinach for the green.

This started with a desire to make a wasabi ginger hummus but real wasabi is hard to come by in my area and I don't like the pre-made mixes as they employ the use of food coloring. Hence the use of horseradish for the zing and spinach for the green.
Steps

Drain beans. Save water from one can to add back in if mixture is too thick. Wash and shell beans if desired for smoother texture.

Chop garlic.

Grate ginger.
- 4
Juice lemon.
- 5
Combine all ingredients in bowl and mix with immersion blender until desired consistency is reached or use food processor. Add garbanzo water back to reach desired consistency.
