Cooking Instructions

In a bowl take sugar and oil and with the help of a hand blender whisk till the sugar mix with the oil thoroughly.

Add the egg yolk and whisk further the batter turns creamy.

Sieve the rice flour into the batter in batches and with the help of cut and fold method mix the flour into wet ingredients.

Add rose essence and poppy seeds into the dough and knead it well. Make a ball of the dough, wrap in a cling film and refrigerate for 10 hrs.

Take the dough out and let it get soft. Knead once again and make balls and flatten them slightly.

With the help of a spoon make two arcs on the cookie and place them into the baking tray with butter paper on it.

Just before placing the tray into a preheated oven at 180 degree sprinkle some more poppy seeds over the cookies.

Bake the cookies for around 10-12 minutes or till they turn golden brown.

Take it out from the oven, let it cool and store them in a air tight container.
