This is a very healthy and tasty side dish which can be made easily. Usually different varieties of Thoran(vegetables stir fry) is made in Kerala which is mildly spiced. Here I have used raw papaya to make the Thoran .
Cooking Instructions

First wash the papaya well and peel it and cut into small pieces (according to your choice)

In the meantime keep the other ingredients ready

Now heat a non stick kadhai and put coconut oil, when hot add in the mustard seeds and after it splutters add the dals and curry leaves

Then add in the turmeric powder,then put in the chopped papaya pieces,add salt and mix well,sprinkle little water and keep it covered on low flame and let it cook.

In the meantime take a mixer jar and coarse grind the coconut, green chillies and shallots to a coarse paste.

Then open the lid and check the papaya, when it is cooked add the coarse ground coconut paste to the papaya and mix well and let it cook again for 2 minutes. Check salt and adjust if required.

When done turn off the gas.The Thoran is ready to serve. This can be had with rice and sambhar or any Dal.
