  1. 1/4 cupmoong dal
  2. 1/4 cup chana dal(split Bengal gram)
  3. 1/4 cup urad dal(split black lentils)
  4. 1/4 cupred masoor dal
  5. 1/4 cup arhar dal
  6. 2Green chilli
  7. 1 inchginger
  8. 1 tspRed chilli powder
  9. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  10. 1/2 tsp Dry mango powder
  11. 1 tspgaram masala
  12. 1 tspsalt
  13. 1/2 tspbaking soda
  14. 2 tbspgreen coriander
  15. For fry
  16. 1 tbspmustured seeds
  17. 1/2 tspcumin seeds
  18. 1Green chilli finaly chooped
  19. 1/4 tsp asafoetida
  20. 1 tbspoil
  21. 1 tspRed chilli powder

Cooking Instructions

    Soak all dals together for 3-4 hours. Drain the water. Grind dals in a mixer with green chillies, ginger coarsely, with just enough water to resemble the idli batter.

    Make Smooth batter. Transfer to bowl and add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, dry mango powder, garammasala, cumin seeds and salt and mix well.

    Add green coriander leaves and mix.Add just before steaming 1/2 tsp cooking soda and 1 /4 tsp lemon juice and mix well. Grease idli moulds with oil. pour the batter immediately in the idli moulds.Place the idli stand in the steamer containing with some boiling water. cover with a lid and steam the idlis for 10-12 minutes.

    Cool and Remove the prepared mini idli from mini idli plates.

    Heat oil and add, cumin seeds mustard seeds, curry leaves and asafoetida.
    When seeds splutter, add green chilli, and red chilli powder and salt and mix well. Now add mini idly and roast 2 minutes. Now add lemon juice and mix.

    Serve hot spicy mini idli with cheese sauce and tomato sauce.
