Cooking Instructions

Peel the parwal and make slits in the center and remove the seeds from it.

Now in a mixer jar add the seeds, chopped ginger and garlic, chopped onion, green chillies and tomatoes. Grind to a fine paste. Keep.aside

Wash masoor dal and soak for 10mins

Heat oil in a pan add slice onions and bay leaf. Fry till golden then add the ground paste, add all the powder masala and salt and a little water and cook till the oil leaves sides. Then add the masoor dal and cook for for 5 mins. Add chopped coriander leaves to it.Filling is ready.

Add this filling to all the slit parwals.

Heat oil in a cooker and add mustard seeds to it. Add all the filled parwals to it and give it a light toss. Then add 200ml water to it. Cover the lid and cook for 2whistles. Let it cool and then open lid and dry the water if any is there. Serve hot with roti or paratha.
