Ingredients

Prep time -10 mins, Total time to cook -35 mins

  1. Peanut Kadhi
  2. 1/2 cuppeanuts for paste plus 1 Tbsp for garnish
  3. 1 cupbuttermilk
  4. 1 tspcumin seeds
  5. 1/8 tspasafoetida
  6. 2/3green chillies chopped
  7. 1-2 sprigcurry leaves
  8. 1/8 tspsalt
  9. 2 Tbspghee
  10. Barnyard Millet or Sama Chawal Pulao
  11. 1/2 cupBarnyard Millet or Sama Chawal
  12. 1-2green chillies chopped
  13. 1-2 sprigcurry leaves
  14. 1/8 tspasafoetida
  15. 1 tspcumin seeds
  16. 1/8 tspsalt
  17. 3-4 Tbspghee
  18. Garnish Pulao with peanuts

Cooking Instructions

Prep time -10 mins, Total time to cook -35 mins

    In a pan add the peanuts and roast for 2 mins, when it gets brown, set aside and add to a muslin cloth, rub and the peels will peel off, add to a blender and adding little water make a paste, set aside

    In a wok heat ghee and add cumin seeds, asafoetida, chopped green chillies, curry leaves and stir for a min.

    Add peanut paste and stir until raw smell is gone. A lovely aroma will fill your kitchen, add butter milk slowly to get rid of lumps and keep stirring, when no lumps then add all butter milk, stir

    Add salt and mix, set aside. Peanut Kadhi is ready

    Barnyard Millet or Sama Chawal Pulao - I had soaked barnyard millet overnight after cleaning well, cooked it and kept ready.

    In a wok heat ghee, add cumin seeds, add asafoetida, add chopped green chiliies, add Pre cooked barnyard millet, stir and add 2 Tbsp ghee again.

    Add 1/2 cup water and mix well, add salt and stir, Pulao is ready and set aside

    Plate and enjoy 😊
