Ingredients

  1. 2 cupwheat flour
  2. 1/4 cup besan
  3. 1 tspRed chilli powder
  4. 2chopped green chilles
  5. 1 tspginger paste
  6. 2 tbspoil
  7. 1 tspcumin seeds
  8. 1/2 tspcarom seeds /ajwain
  9. 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  10. 1 cupfresh fenugreek leaves chopped (methi leaves)
  11. 1 tspsugar (opt)
  12. 1/2 cupyogurt/dahi
  13. to tasteSalt
  14. as neededWater
  15. As neededOil or ghee for frying theplas

Cooking Instructions

    In a large mixing bowl add all the ingredients and add enough water and prepare like chapati dough

    Now pinch a medium sized ball dough,roll & flatten it.

    Further roll it in a thin circle like chapati

  4. 4

    Now on a hot tawa place the rolled thepla and cook for a minute

  5. 5

    When the base is partly cooked, flip the thepla, also brush some oil/ghee

  6. 6

    Once fried nicely from both the sides remove on a plate

  7. 7

    Similarly fry rest theplas

  8. 8

    Theplas are ready to serve, serve thepla with pickle or plain yogurt
