Extremely Delicious Miso & Jako Toast

I challenged myself to make various dishes using miso, as is Nagoya style! This Japanese style toast is delicious.

All-purpose sweet miso: Since dengaku miso can be stored, it's best to make it beforehand and then save it. The miso will be hot, so be careful not to burn yourself before eating. Recipe by kebeibiko

  2. 1Shirasu (Jako - baby sardines)
  3. 1Dengaku Miso
  4. 1Shredded Cheese (pizza type, or sliced type)
  5. 1Green onions (chives, leeks, etc.)
  6. 1Black pepper

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Cut the bread in half so that it is easier to eat. (You can cut it however you like) Once cut, place it on the toaster-oven tray and put the pieces next to each other so that it looks whole.

  2. 2

Spread the dengaku miso onto the bread with a spoon.

  3. 3

Scatter the shirasu or jako on top of the miso. Top with cheese. Optionally sprinkle with black pepper and then toast in the toaster oven and it's done.

  4. 4

Optionally garnish with green onions ♪ If using Japanese leek, slice it thinly and place on top before toasting so that you can enjoy it's sweetness.
