Ingredients

  1. 15 piecesDates
  2. 5 tea spoonJaggery
  3. 1 tea spoonJira powder
  4. 1/2 tea spoonHomemade chilli powder
  5. Black salt to taste
  6. 1/2 tea spoonChat masala
  7. 200 mlwater
  8. 1/2 spoonpumpkin and sunflower seeds

    Deseed and Chop dates.
    Heat water till it is likewarm. Add dates in warm water give a boil for 10 min. Mix jaggery post water boil.

    Filter dates from water and. Keep water aside. When dates reach room temperature, grind to smooth paste.
    In a pan, toast pumpkin and sunflower seeds in oil. Stir everything well and put dates paste. Pour back the water kept aside. Add jeera powder, red chilli powder, black salt and chat masala. Give good boil. Taste it if everything is good as you like for chat or dahi bhalla. Keep consistency of sauce as you like.
