Jugaadu Instant Sambhar(Jain)

This is a quick version of sambhar.
No need to boil dal for this sambhar. So lot of time is saved.
I have made
No onion No garlic
With a secret ingredient!
As I want to serve with Kanchipuram temple style idli.
Cooking Instructions
- 1
First, churn the tomatoes, sambhar powder, salt, haldi and dhanajira to a fine paste.
- 2
In 2 tsp oil add in rai. When it splitters, add in urad dal. Then add red chilli, methi seeds and curry leaves.
- 3
Add in asefoetida(hing). Now add in the tomato-masala paste. Cook very well until the tomatoes are done.
- 4
Now is the turn to add the secret ingredient. Mix 3-4 tsp water in 2 tsp roasted besan and make a lumpfree slurry.
- 5
Now add the roasted besan slurry into the sambhar. Mix and cook well for 2-3 minutes to combine the tomatoes and besan well. Now add in the required quantity of water and set the sambhar consistency. Boil for 2-3 minutes.
- 6
Lastly, add in coriander and serve with idli, dosa, uttapam etc.
A quick, easy, tasty sambhar is ready to serve.
