We all love Pasta. A staple in Italian homes. It is a "MOOD FOOD". Pasta is perfect in its simplicity and healthfulness. It is Loved in any form. With tomato sauce, garlic sauce, salad, with cheese , without cheese. It is simply yumm. It is Low in fat and sodium. And also Versatile and inexpensive.
Here's a simple spaghetti with red sauce. Time to take out your aprons cook and enjoy simple but heavenly Pasta with a nice Wine.

Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 150 gmsSpaghetti
  2. 2big tomatoes diced
  3. 6-7 clovesgarlic, finely chopped
  4. 2 tbspcream
  5. 1small onion, finely chopped
  6. fresh oregano and basil (according to your taste)
  7. 2 tspsalt or as per your taste
  8. 2 tbspolive oil
  9. 2-3 tbspgrated cheese
  10. 5-6crushed black pepper corns
  11. 1 tspchili flakes
  12. 1 tspsugar

Cooking Instructions

    In a deep pot take around 500 ml water add 1 tsp salt and boil it. once the water starts boiling add spaghetti and cook for 7-8 mins. Once the Spaghetti is cooked drain the water. keep atleast a cup of pasta water to add in sauce.Drizzle little Olive oil on the cooked spaghetti and keep it aside.

    Now in a pan heat Olive oil (Do not over heat olive oil). Now add onions, garlic, tomatoes and salt. saute' it till tomatoes gets cooked perfectly.

    Once tomatoes are done add sugar, cream, herbs, crushed black pepper and chili flakes.

    Mix everything properly. Now add pasta water. simmer the sauce for 2 minutes.

    Now for plating: In a platter serve spaghetti and then add sauce over it. Garnish it with some cheese, herbs, olive oil and olives.

    Serve it with nice soft garlic bread and a Glass of Wine. Ready to eat...! Bon Appetit..!
