Beef liver, the Alexandrian way

Ingredients

3-4 servings
  1. 500 gramsBeef liver
  2. 4 tablespoonsoil
  3. 2 tablespoonsbutter
  4. 2 tablespoonscumin
  5. 1 tablespoonsalt
  6. lemon juice
  7. 1 tablespoonblack pepper
  8. 1 teaspoonvinegar
  9. chili pepper
  10. chili flakes
  11. cloveSliced garlic

Cooking Instructions

    Add 2 spoons of lemon juice to the liver and put it in a colander, set aside for 5 minutes.

    In a large bowl, mix the cumin, lemon juice, vinegar, chili pepper then add the liver and mix well.

    Set aside for 15 minutes.

    On high heat, put a large pan, add the butter and oil.

  5. 5

    Wait 1 minute and then add the liver to the pan.

  6. 6

    Add salt, pepper, red pepper flakes and garlic.

  7. 7

    Stir every 2 minutes, it shall take around 10 minutes to be ready.
