Ingredients

  1. Maize flour (for cooking ugali)
  2. Omena
  3. Spring onions
  4. Bulb onions
  5. Tomatoes
  6. Garlic
  7. Spices
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Some cooking oil

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    In a sufuria, put some oil and chopped onions with garlic. Cook on low heat

  2. 2

    Add the omena (didn't wash or whatever since it was sorted, washed n deep fried before buying) to the onions and stir on low heat

  3. 3

    Continue stirring as the onions turn golden brown

  4. 4

    Once crunchy enough, add tomatoes on one side of sufuria. I do this to maintain the crunchyness and ensure well cooked tomatoes

  5. 5

    Optional: I added some wood ash solution. The taste is irresistible 😋

    Allow to cool as you cook ugali 😋 serve this when hot 🔥
