It is a popular street food snack in Maharashtra. There are many variations to preparing them. I am sharing here my mom’s recipe which she has been making for many years now.
To prepare Kanda Bhaji, does not take much time and gets done in less than 30 minutes. Do try in this rainy season, you will love to have it with hot cup of tea.

Ingredients

  1. 2 big onion
  2. 1/2 cupbesan
  3. 1 tspcoriander seeds
  4. 2 tspfresh coriander leaves
  5. 1 tspred chilli powder
  6. As Per TasteSalt
  7. As RequiredWater
  8. As RequiredOil for frying
  9. As RequiredServing : chutney, tea/coffee

Cooking Instructions

    Slice the onions thinly and place in a mixing bowl. You should be able to get 1 cup of thinly sliced onions.

    Add besan, rice flour, and salt. Crush the coriander seeds coarsely in a mortar pestle and add to it.

     Heat oil for deep frying in a Kadai. Fry the bhajis on a medium flame. Flip and fry them till they become crisp and golden.

    Take the bhajjis on absorbent kitchen paper in the same way fry the rest of the onion bhajis.

    Sprinkle chat masala on the bhajji and serve it with hot tea or coffee.
