Cooking Instructions

Rinse and pre soak the samp overnight so that you will cook it today like I did.

Today I then drain the soaking water the add the fresh water and cook every 30 minutes I check that it's soft and the water still there to soften so that the samp does not get burned.
- 3
Now it's soft I add my margarine then add the Aromat and make the mixture of cream of mushroom to the water and pour and now simmer the samp and the samp is now creamy with a sprinkle of parsley

Beef stew Beef stew
I must admit this recipe is really for a beef pie, but the insides where so good, why not just have the insides!! I think it qualifies for stew!! You can cook the first part in a skillet but you do need a Dutch oven to complete it. It is rather fiddly to make but I guarantee you'll be happy with the results. Props to my hubby as well for the photography as usual!! kokomayla -

BEEF STEW - OLD RECIPE BEEF STEW - OLD RECIPE
I made this for my parents for dinner 40 plus years ago. They both wanted to know what I used for thickening. It turns out it was the way I cut the potatoes and floured the beef before I browned it. My Dad loved my stew! Needless to say, I've been making stew the same way ever since and never without thinking about my Dad. . . "Good times around the family table". sandra53 -
Chicken & Green Bean Pot Stew Chicken & Green Bean Pot Stew
Hi everyone!!! After yesterday’s Clean Monday or Ash Monday and a day of fasting, I am back with another Chicken recipe. 🙂 Fasting usually last for about 40 some odds days, which is way to long of time at least for me that is, so what I usually do is fast the last week before Easter. I think most people do that know, busy schedule and fasting a bit difficult. If your in the mood to eat something different give this recipe a try, you just might like it. 🙂My husband is a fan of Green beans, me not so much, but before I say NO to something I like to try it out first, I have actually tried to eat them a few times in the past, but it was a no go. I gave it one more try again today just in case my tastebuds have changed aaaand NO they have not..:), so I can officially say I am not a fan of Green Beans.Since, I do love Chicken this recipe has the combination of both worlds, and the taste is just superb (Chicken of course is). 🙂 With the addition of fresh tomatoes and herbs simmering together just makes you want to eat it all at once. Adding a side dish of Feta cheese, drizzled with Olive Oil, topped with fresh Oregano, dipping that fresh slice of bread into the sauce AWWW!! what more can I say. 🙂 Foodzesty
