Ingredients

  1. Cake:
  2. 3 cupsAP flour
  3. 1/4 tspsalt
  4. 1 1/2 tspbaking soda
  5. 1/2 tspcinnamon
  6. 10 tbsbutter at room temperature
  7. 1/2 cupsugar
  8. 1/2 cupbrown sugar
  9. 1 tspvanilla
  10. 3eggs
  11. 5medium to large bananas mashed
  12. 1 cupsour cream
  13. 1/2 cupmilk (I used nonfat)
  14. 1 cupcrushed pecans or walnuts (I used pecans)
  15. Frosting:
  16. 8 ozcream cheese at room temperature
  17. 1/2 cupbutter
  18. 2 tspvanilla
  19. 2 cupspowder sugar

Cooking Instructions

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

    Combine flour, salt, baking soda and cinnamon in a medium mixing bowl.

    In a separate large mixing bowl, beat together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

  4. 4

    Beat in vanilla and eggs to butter mixture.

  5. 5

    Stir in the mashed bananas in the butter mixture.

  6. 6

    Mix in the sour cream, milk and 1/2 of the flour mixture to butter mixture.

    When finished, mix in rest of the flour mixture to butter mixture.

    Fold in crushed pecans (or walnuts) to batter.

    Pour batter in a 9 by 13 inch lightly sprayed baking dish and bake 35 minutes or until done. Depending upon your elevation, it took me 35 minutes exactly.

    For the frosting, cream together the cream cheese, butter and vanilla.

    Add the powder sugar and if using an electric mixture, blend at medium speed until creamy and smooth texture.

    Add the powder sugar and if using an electric mixer, set to medium and blend away until texture is smooth and creamy.

I made the cake today, it was really moist
Only thing I forgot the nuts. I was going to use black walnuts
